Meet Hell's Kitchen Flea Market dealer, "Old and Unusual Stuff." Merchandise includes "mostly boys' toys," including a brass fan, Victrola and phonograph. The vintage Brass GE fan (1917-20) is particularly sought-after because both the cage and the blades are all-brass! And, yes, it is in working order! (Asking $150.)
The Victrola (1919) was manufactured by the Victor Talking Machine Co, which eventually became RCA Victor. It plays '78s. (Asking $395.)
The
Edison phonograph (1903) is not only glorious design, but great
American history. This is apparently the only patent Mr. Edison ever kept and
produced. Sort of the first iPod in a way, because it was the first
mass-produced device to play recorded music. (Asking $695.)
