Bethlehem Flea Market becomes Lower Litchfield County Flea Market

The Bethlehem Flea Market in Bethlehem, CT, is now the Lower Litchfield County Flea Market.  Located at 384 Main St. North @ Bethlehem Fairgrounds (Bethlehem, CT 06751), the Market is open every Saturday from 4/25-8/15/09, 7am- 3pm.

The Seltzer Bottle: what would the Marx Brothers have done without it?

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market dealer, "March Hare," asks, “Where would clowns and the Marx Brothers be without seltzer bottles?” March Hare's got one. And not just any one, of course, but a seltzer bottle from Czechoslovakia, 1950s or '60s. It’s in mint condition. So, yes, it still makes that great pshhhhh! sound when you spray water out of it.

Apparently, there was more slapstick comedy or cocktail mixology going on behind the Iron Curtain than the CIA could ever have guessed! ;)

Midas Touch! Eddie Ross and HKFM

Designer and blogger Eddie Ross of Bravo TV's Top Design was featured in The Daily News revealing our flea markets as a treasure trove of antiques and other unique items of distinctive design ready to be used, renewed, or repurposed in the service of designers' often under-appreciated mission: to enhance our lives by making the world a more attractive place. Meet Hell's Kitchen Flea Market dealer, “ac agates." Featuring the work of Andrew Clark, crafter/designer, ac agates specializes in Mr. Clark's handmade jewelry such as the rings you see below--made of copper, brass, stainless steel, or a combinatio. They are generally in the $30 range.

Also very popular are wishbone earrings (not pictured) of sterling silver and semi-precious stones. They're very lightweight. $12 each pair or two for $20.
